Description

The Chord Company EpicX ARAY is a high-performance stereo analogue interconnect designed for revealing hi-fi systems. Supplied with two RCA connectors at each end, it provides a carefully engineered connection between compatible source components and amplifiers.

EpicX uses heavy-gauge, silver-plated, multi-strand oxygen-free copper conductors. Compared with ShawlineX, the heavier conductors and uprated internal geometry allow the cable to carry fine musical information and dynamic contrasts with greater authority.

The conductors are arranged using Chord Company’s proprietary ARAY technology. This carefully developed geometry is designed to preserve timing, detail and the individual tonal character of instruments while maintaining a coherent musical presentation.

Cross-linked polyethylene, or XLPE, is used to insulate the conductors. Selected through extensive testing, XLPE reduces unwanted energy absorption within the cable and helps maintain signal accuracy.

EpicX also features Chord Company’s high-performance shielding architecture, which protects the delicate analogue signal from electrical and radio-frequency interference.

The cable is fitted with Chord VEE3 RCA connectors featuring ChorAlloy plating. This multi-metal plating system is designed to provide excellent conductivity, durability and long-term contact performance.

EpicX ARAY is hand built in the UK and is available in standard 0.5m and 1m lengths, with custom lengths and alternative terminations available to order.
