Description
The AudioQuest Rocket 88 Full-Range is the flagship speaker cable in the Rocket range, combining extreme-purity copper conductors with advanced geometry, noise dissipation and AudioQuest’s 72V Dielectric-Bias System.
Rocket 88 uses solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ conductors throughout. PSC+ is AudioQuest’s highest-grade copper, with an exceptionally smooth and pure surface designed to minimise distortion caused by grain boundaries. Its solid construction also prevents the strand interaction found in conventional stranded cables.
The conductors are arranged in a Double Star-Quad geometry. This carefully balanced configuration reduces time-related distortion while preserving dynamics, clarity and consistency across the frequency range.
Foamed-Polyethylene insulation surrounds the positive conductors. Its high air content reduces energy absorption within the cable, helping preserve fine detail and dynamic contrast.
A Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation system helps prevent radio-frequency interference from being fed back into the amplifier. All conductors are also direction-controlled to manage induced RF noise more effectively.
Rocket 88 incorporates AudioQuest’s patented 72V Dielectric-Bias System. This maintains a constant electrostatic field across the insulation, reducing dielectric energy storage and improving the consistency of wide-bandwidth noise dissipation.
The Full-Range version is terminated with two connectors at each end for conventional single-wired loudspeakers. AudioQuest SureGrip 500 banana plugs are available with gold- or silver-plated surfaces.
