Description
The Spendor AC2 is a high-performance centre-channel speaker designed to deliver clear, natural dialogue and a convincing sense of scale in a home cinema system. Its low-profile cabinet allows it to sit discreetly beneath a television or projection screen while providing the clarity and refinement expected from Spendor.
At its heart is an 18cm Spendor bass/midrange driver featuring the company’s EP77 polymer cone, cast magnesium-alloy chassis and high-efficiency motor system. This is partnered with a 22mm polyamide-dome tweeter to produce an open, articulate sound with excellent vocal definition.
The sealed cabinet uses Spendor’s proprietary dynamic damping to reduce unwanted vibration and colouration. It also helps the AC2 maintain tuneful, controlled bass when positioned close to a wall or inside suitable AV furniture.
With its amplifier-friendly impedance and consistent presentation, the AC2 is easy to integrate into a wide range of multichannel systems. It is particularly well suited to Spendor A-Line and Classic loudspeakers, creating a tonally balanced and cohesive front soundstage.
