Description
The Esoteric N-05XE is a statement of digital musicality, a high-end network DAC and preamplifier engineered to bring listeners closer to the original performance than ever before. Drawing on technologies developed for Esoteric’s flagship Grandioso series, the N-05XE combines exceptional sonic refinement with the convenience and flexibility of modern music streaming.
At its core is Esoteric’s latest-generation Master Sound Discrete DAC, incorporating advanced design principles and technologies derived from the acclaimed Grandioso D1X SE. Developed entirely in-house and built from carefully selected discrete components rather than conventional DAC chipsets, it delivers extraordinary resolution, dynamic expression, and a remarkably natural tonal balance. The result is a listening experience that is both emotionally engaging and breathtakingly realistic.
The N-05XE supports a wide range of network and digital sources, including Roon, TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify Connect, and DLNA, all accessible via the Esoteric Sound Stream app or your preferred streaming platform. Its fully balanced preamplifier stage, featuring Esoteric’s acclaimed LECUA-EX electronic volume control technology inherited from the Grandioso range, ensures exceptional signal purity and precise control when partnered with high-performance power amplifiers.
Built to the exacting standards for which Esoteric is renowned, the N-05XE features a rigid, vibration-resistant chassis, premium internal components, and a refined aluminium finish. Every aspect of its design has been optimised to extract the maximum musical performance from today’s finest digital sources.
