Description
The Chord Company ShawlineX ARAY is a premium stereo analogue interconnect designed to bring greater refinement, clarity and musical coherence to a high-quality hi-fi system. Supplied with two RCA connectors at each end, it is suitable for connecting a wide range of compatible source components and amplifiers.
ShawlineX uses silver-plated oxygen-free copper conductors arranged in Chord Company’s proprietary ARAY geometry. The silver-plated conductors provide a high-quality signal path, while the carefully developed geometry is designed to preserve timing, dynamics and fine musical information.
The conductors are insulated with cross-linked polyethylene, or XLPE. Selected following extensive listening tests, this material reduces unwanted energy absorption within the cable and helps maintain the accuracy of the analogue signal.
A composite shielding system operates across a wide frequency range, protecting the delicate audio signal from electrical and radio-frequency interference. The construction also helps reduce the influence of mechanically induced noise.
ShawlineX is fitted with Chord VEE3 RCA connectors featuring ChorAlloy plating. This multi-metal plating system is designed to combine high conductivity with excellent long-term durability.
Each ShawlineX ARAY cable is assembled by hand in the UK. The RCA version is turntable-ready as standard and can also be supplied with a separate flying earth lead where required.
