The Kudos KS-1 is a high-quality loudspeaker cable originally developed for the internal wiring of Kudos loudspeakers. Its straightforward design uses carefully selected materials to provide excellent performance without unnecessary complexity.

Each conductor comprises 19 strands of silver-plated oxygen-free copper. Kudos selected this precise strand count following extensive listening tests conducted with different constructions while maintaining the same overall conductor diameter.

The conductors are insulated with Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene, or FEP. This material offers a low dielectric constant similar to PTFE but is slightly softer, providing improved mechanical damping.

The two insulated conductors are arranged with a slow twist and surrounded by a hard PVC outer jacket. This protects the internal construction, provides additional physical damping and keeps the cable practical to route and install.

Its 15AWG conductor size and low resistance make KS-1 suitable for a wide range of hi-fi systems. It is a particularly natural partner for Kudos loudspeakers, where it provides continuity between the external speaker cable and the internal wiring.

Kudos KS-1 is sold by PJ Hi-Fi per metre and supplied unterminated, allowing it to be cut and finished specifically for each system.
